Question:
Why does my lab's public FTP site provided by the KODAK PROSHOTS System now require login with a customer ID and password?
Answer: Answer last updated:02-12-07
In the past, photographers could request lab uploading of digital images without a login process. The Web site now requires photographers to enter their customer ID and password. This increase in security protects photographer's images from hackers. Your customer ID and password are the same as the ID and password used to log into PROSHOTS System accounts.

A FTP client program is recommended. Check the Web for free FTP client programs that are available for download.

To use a FTP interface with MICROSOFT Internet Explorer:

  1. Enter: ftp://ftp.(enter your lab name here).proshots.com
Note: Check with your lab for the correct lab name to use.

  2. Select the File/Login option.
Note: Netscape does not have this option and is not recommended for this task.
