The problem is the file extension associations. Your computer was configured to always open certain file types based on their 3-letter extension. Now, through association, that file opens automatically instead of the computer asking if you want to save it first. To remove these associations:- Select the My Computer icon on your main screen
- Navigate to View / Folder Options
- Select File Types
- Locate the ZIP extension
- Select Edit / Actions / Confirm Open After Download
- Select Close to finish.
