Question:
How do I clear a paper jam in the ribbon carrier area?
Answer: Answer last updated:11-27-06
  1. Turn off the 1400 printer.
  2. Open the top cover.
  3. Remove the ribbon carrier. To do this, push the ribbon carrier to the left and lift it up.
  4. Carefully remove the jammed paper. Make sure that you do not damage the thermal head.
  5. Replace the ribbon carrier.
  6. Close the top cover.
  7. Discard any partially-fed paper from the paper tray.
    Important: Do not place any partially-fed paper back into the paper tray!
