Kodak recently compared our EKTATHERM Media to competitive solutions including piezo ink and paper combinations (both dye and pigment), pictographic, and thermal media. We found the following: - Water & Moisture Resistance:
EKTATHERM Media showed a significant advantage, both with the gloss and matte laminates, over similar competitive technologies. Piezo (dye) and pictographic output showed significant staining. The piezo (pigment) sample exhibited degradation in image quality. - Fade (7 days at 50K LUX):
EKTATHERM Media showed minimal fade and was significantly advantaged over the competitive thermal and pictographic output that produced significant amounts of fade. Neither piezo output exhibited fade.
