Question:
What is the difference between KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Photo Desk and KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Camera Manager?
Answer: Answer last updated:01-10-08
DCS Photo Desk is a stand-alone image browser specifically created to support files from KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Digital Cameras. DCS Photo Desk enables imaging functionality similar to older TWAIN and ADOBE PHOTOSHOP acquire modules. These features include exposure compensation, color correction, cropping, rotation, file naming, and copying/converting of images from storage cards.

DCS Camera Manager enables all-tethered functionality for the cameras via IEEE 1394 to MACINTOSH Computers or WINDOWS OS-based computers. This includes camera control, downloading of images, camera properties setting, and the ability to capture and save images directly to a host computer's hard disk.

Note: DCS Camera Manager is not compatible with INTEL-based MAC Computers.
